Project HERO Back to School Event Equips 200 Students for Success in 2023-2024 Academic Year

Project HERO's successful Back to School Event provided over 200 students with essential supplies like uniforms, backpacks, and books. Collaborating with local partners, the event included former program students as volunteers and plans to support an additional 100 students in the weeks ahead.

Resource Fair Helps More Than 1,000 Families Prepare for Start of School

In partnership with the Melinda Hoag Smith Center for Healthy Living and IKEA, Newport-Mesa Unified School District (NMUSD) hosted its second annual Back-to-School Resource Fair last weekend. More than 80 community partners provided NMUSD school-aged children with backpacks, shoes, linkage to community services, and a variety of other items and services, all at no cost.

CASA OC SPREADS THE LOVE FOR VALENTINE’S DAY

Kids for CASA recently held their 2nd Annual Bear-Building event for Valentine’s Day. The goal was to raise $32,500 to recruit and train CASA volunteers and to create and donate hundreds of custom-stuffed bears to Orange County youth in the juvenile court system. Thanks to the overwhelming support of our community partners, donors and volunteers, Kids for CASA raised almost $40,000!

Stanton creates holiday magic through valued partnerships

The City has established a new partnership with Dreams for Schools and Katrina’s Backpack program to provide holiday gifts for four hundred local children. Recipients included our Family Resource Center clients and families who were identified through liaisons at our local schools, GRIP representatives and other community-based organizations.
